Snowboarding.com – Icebreaker Partners With World Cup Alpine Ski Racer Travis Ganong – December 1, 2015

Icebreaker Merino, the pioneering New Zealand brand that introduced merino wool apparel to the outdoor industry, today announced an exciting three-year partnership with US ski team athlete, Travis Ganong. As an athlete ambassador, Ganong will represent Icebreaker in the U.S. and provide key insights for future product design.

The 26-year-old world-class skier competed for the U.S. at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, placing fifth in the men’s downhill. He won his first World Cup race in December 2014 in downhill in Italy. From there, Ganong went on to place second at Vail/Beaver Creek World Championships and ended up a career best ninth ranked in the downhill standings.

To celebrate the new partnership Travis will make an appearance at the Icebreaker Vail TouchLab on Saturday, December 5, from 5 PM to 7 PM. This will follow his World Cup appearance in Beaver Creek.
